TNP Alpaca Rescue Community Outreach Supporting At-Risk Youth Through Farm, Animal & Trade Skills

At TNP Alpaca Rescue, we partner with youth programs, community agencies, and nonprofits to provide at-risk youth with hands-on, trauma-informed opportunities that build resilience, confidence, and employable skills. Our model combines the healing presence of animals with structured mentorship in farm care, sustainability, and entry-level construction trades.

The Challenge

Many at-risk youth in our region face barriers such as trauma, unstable home environments, or lack of access to safe and constructive programs. Without intervention, these challenges often impact education, employment, and long-term stability.

Our Solution

Through structured, trauma-informed mentorship at TNP, youth gain:

• Animal Care Skills: feeding, grooming, and daily life skills.

• Farm & Garden Skills: planting, greenhouse care, sustainability, alpaca, chicken, goat education and health.

• Construction & Trades: tool safety, small building projects, and carpentry basics.

• Life Skills: teamwork, communication, punctuality, and goal-setting.
